Hello, everyone! Meet Tamsin. Like many among you, she is a werewolf and-- okay, that's a lie. She's not a werewolf. But she's very very good at punching them in the face.

Tamsin hails from Lost Girl, which you're all acquainted with by ways of
regretiz4suckas and
nookiepowered. She is, however, neither a human or an unaligned succubus; she's a Dark Fae (ooooh) Valkyrie, with superpowers that lay along the 'fear' spectrum. More specifically, she can incite great fear and doubt in people to the point where it will make them pass out, which makes her face do this:

... so yeah, you might be able to understand why that works. She can also sense fear on people alive and dead, temporarily wake coma patients (though they'll go braindead immediately afterwards) and, oh, she has this Phoenix-like thing where she dies and comes back to life over and over again. It's a real buzzkill, though.

Discerning viewers may be able to tell that she's played by Rachel Skarsten, who also plays a certain
blondecanary; it shouldn't be too hard to keep Tamsin and Dinah apart, though, considering Tamsin's face tends to do this:

And this:

And this:

Oh, and these things:

And sometimes the rest of her does this:

Yeah. Tamsin has serious 'tude, is seriously old, and seriously doesn't give a shit most of the time. She's Dark Fae and so pretty open about her whole 'not caring about humans' thing (unlike the Light, who at least pretend to care every now and again) to the point where she has real trouble empathizing with them at all. If you're supernatural, that kind of changes. Somewhat. She'll be working at the trooper station, being a hardass on anyone who breaks the law, so if you need anyone to come in and arrest you she'll be happy to do the job. She won't be very open about the whole being a Fae business at first, mind.
Outside of keeping the streets clean (especially of anyone who might go around killing supernaturals), hanging out in bars drinking vodka drinks with celery in them and the occasional spot of beating things up, she doesn't really give the appearance of caring too much about-slash-for anything else. That includes your 'tude and/or terror and/or law-enforcing.
Seriously.

She's coming in pre-canon to keep an eye on
nookiepowered for the Morrigan, AKA the big boss of the Dark Fae. Not that she cares particularly much for the Morrigan's authority; Tamsin's real master is the Wanderer, who may or may not be Odin. And who may or may not want Bo for reasons that may have to do with spoileryspoil, but Tamsin doesn't know that yet. Much like she didn't in canon for some time, which was a real bummer, because that Bo girl--

And then--

Yeah, awkward. Wanderer doesn't seem to be so happy about the consequences of that.

But, y'know.

That hasn't happened yet.
She's coming up on the end of her life cycle (this life cycle? Canon is incredibly unhelpful on this score) and may or may not regenerate Doctor-style in a blast of fireworks at some point, I dunno, canon hasn't gotten there yet.

Anyway, to sum up: ancient Valkyrie, kind of a hardass, kind of doesn't give a shit 99% of the time, but don't worry:

And that's it.
